Induced After Death Communication Therapy®
This transformative therapy has been demonstrated over the past 30+ years to significantly help grieving individuals to dramatically reduce the deep sadness and trauma often associated with the death of someone important to them. Pioneered in 1995 by former Veteran’s Administration psychologist Allan Botkin, it’s an adaptation of a highly effective and evidence-based trauma resolution therapy known as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Dr. Botkin calls this method Induced After Death Communication® or IADC®. The reason Dr. Botkin named it IADC® is because in addition to effectively reducing the suffering and trauma of loss, this method has the potential to create a state of mind whereby a healing connection with the deceased may occur. This is referred to as an “after death communication” or ADC.
Perhaps this sounds a bit wacky but it’s actually not. Here’s why. After death communication is actually a naturally occurring phenomena for approximately 20% of the population. And, in my work with grieving individuals during the past 15 years, they have consistently told me of their desires to reconnect with their loved one. “If only I could see her one more time.” “If only I could tell him that I love him.” “I just want to know if she’s okay.” “If only I knew he forgave me.” “If only . . .”
I have no doubt you could easily fill in the blank. This sense of disconnection from the deceased is often at the core of our sadness and despair, as is the desire to complete “unfinished business.” Yet the intense sadness and trauma felt by the grieving individual often obstructs the very connection the mourner yearns for. IADC® therapy helps to turn this around.
That’s why I instinctively knew I had to add this brain-based and time tested therapeutic method to my treasure trove of tools to help reduce my clients’ pain and suffering. So, I traveled across the country to study with Dr. Botkin and proceeded to use this dynamic method with grieving clients. The results speak for themselves:
“I got everything and more I could hope for from this experience. It’s hard to believe that this process could take me from feeling guilt, sorrow, and anger to a feeling of peace.” R.R.
“I felt tremendous benefits from the IADC sessions. I was able to confirm that my loved one is not suffering and to receive the answers to all my questions in a very clear form. It was extremely comforting. The prep work released a lot of stuck emotions due to old traumatic experiences. Overall, my mood elevated and shifted from feeling deep sadness, confusion, fear, and disconnection to a sense of well-being.” I.S.
“I now have a great sense of relief and peace and a whole new perspective. Cheryl is remarkable.” R.M.
It is with profound gratitude and delight that I’m offering this revolutionary grief and trauma relief therapy. It has the possibility of reducing years of suffering and trauma. If you are interested, I’d be honored to help you. If you are curious and would like more detailed information about this unique therapy, please contact me.
To give you a quick overview, IADC® therapy is appropriate any time after 6 months past the time of loss. A phone interview precedes the sessions and we’d have a follow-up phone or email conversation a few weeks post-treatment. If other trauma relief work needs to be done first, (and this is very common), we would schedule separate, preliminary trauma resolution sessions.
I do want to emphasize that the statistics show that while this therapy results nearly 100% of the time in a dramatic reduction of sadness and trauma related to the death, the after death communication component happens for about 75% of clients while they are with the therapist. So the odds are good. But I want to be very clear that there are no promises or guarantees that an ADC will happen for you during our appointment time. Nonetheless, the relief clients usually experience is profound and our work together sets the stage for the potential of an after death communication to occur in the future, naturally and organically.
For more details and/or to schedule your IADC® appointment, please call or email me. I look forward to helping you live life with greater peace of mind and joy in your heart.
